Cow-Free Bahn Mi with Land Lovers, Plant-Based Vegan Beef
 

Ingredients

  • 14oz tofu (extra firm)

  • 1lbs Land Lovers flank steak

  • 1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil

  • 4 baguettes, sliced in half

  • vegan mayo

  • Sprigs of cilantro

  • Sriracha

  • Picked Veggies (optional)

  • *Tofu Marinade

Instructions

  1. Drain tofu and slice it into 1/2-inch slices.

  2. Slice Land Lovers into thin slices

  3. Whisk together olive oil, tamari, lime juice and zest, garlic, ginger, and pepper.

  4. Soak tofu and Land Lovers in marinade for 15 minutes

  5. Heat nonstick skillet to medium-high heat. Add olive oil to the pan, then tofu and Land Lovers. Cook until golden brown (1-2 minutes on each side). Remove from heat and season to taste.

  6. Assemble sandwiches with the baguette, mayo, tofu slices, pickled veggies, and cilantro, and serve with sriracha.

  • Tofu Marinade: 1 tablespoon olive oil, 2 tablespoons tamari, Juice of 1/2 lime + a little zest, 1 clove of minced garlic, 1/2 teaspoon minced ginger, Freshly ground black pepper
