This recipe for Land Lovers Mongolian Beef is our delicious take on an asian-inspired classic with real meat texture and a perfect umami flavor. Tender and juicy strips of delicious plant-based flank steak soaked in sweet and tangy sauce.
Ingredients
1 lb Land Lovers flank steak, cut into desirable pieces
1 tbsp oil
2 tsp fresh ginger, minced
1 tbsp fresh garlic, minced
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup water
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1 tsp mushroom extract
4 stalks scallions, cut into 2-inch pieces
Instructions
Add the oil to a large frying pan on medium to high heat.
Add the ginger and garlic to the pan and sauté for 10-15 seconds.
Add the soy sauce, water and dark brown sugar to the pan and let it come to a boil.
Add Land Lovers flank steak in and let the sauce thicken for 20-30 seconds.
Add the mushroom extract, green onions, stir to combine everything, and cook for a final 20-30 seconds. Serve and enjoy!
